Is Wanilog really free?
Yes. Wanilog is a personal side project, so there are no ads or subscription fees, and nothing to sign up for.
Does Wanilog need my WaniKani password?
No. You generate a read-only personal access token in WaniKani settings; that is what you paste.
Is this a replacement for wkstats?
Yes. Same idea, rebuilt for phones, with projections, coverage, leech training, and an installable offline PWA.
Where is my data stored?
Your device, by default. Your kanji progress stays in your browser unless you opt in to publishing a public profile or syncing achievements, which store a small subset on a server.
